The patch of waste

Dubbed the largest outlet in the world, the span of the North Pacific Garbage Patch a distance estimated to be twice the size of Texas and contains more than 100 million tonnes of plastic waste from all corners of the world. Because most plastics are never completely biodegradable, they remain in the water as microscopic particles eaten by all uses of aquaculture - jellyfish, coral reefs, and plankton feeding fish are all highly vulnerable to toxic waste. Birds confuse floating plastic for prey, and was found dead with virtually intact plastic waste in the stomach. Jellyfish are found with plastic particles visible through the translucent skin. Every day, tons of plastic waste stacked several metres high arrive on the beaches in the Pacific. The garbage patch was discovered there are more than 12 years of oceanographer Charles Moore, yet so far, little progress was made
